The surgery provides a confidential sexual health clinic. You don’t need to be registered at the surgery, but you do need to be registered at a Gloucestershire GP practice. You can attend without a prior appointment, although we recommend giving the surgery a call before attending to ensure they can fit you in. Services available include;
- Pregnancy testing and advice
- Free condoms, including C-Card registration and distribution (see below)
- Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing
- Emergency contraception
- Advice on sexual health and relationships
What is C-Card? C-Card is a condom distribution scheme for young people under 25 who live in Gloucestershire. You can get free condoms from any of the distribution outlets.
How does the C-Card work? You need to register for the scheme at a registration site. You will be asked to complete a registration form, all of the information you provide will be kept confidential. If you don’t want to give us any information, that is fine. You will still be able to get condoms. You will then be given a C-Card which you can use at any of the distribution outlets. It will have a number on; this is your C-Card.
And the services available are listed as
C-Card (Condom Distribution), Chlamydia Testing/Treatment, Contraception, /emergency Hormonal Contraception, Pregnancy Advice, Sexual Health Clinic
We are independent of services so aren't able to answer questions about them (such as opening times and services available)
Your feedback comments are confidential. If you require a response, please contact the centre directly.
